Perception across distance

Remote Viewing

Exploring information about a distant or hidden target through a structured session.

Remote viewing uses a task or target that is kept unknown to the viewer during the session. Impressions are recorded before feedback, creating something that can be compared with the target afterwards. Despite the name, a session need not feel like seeing a picture. Words, spatial impressions, textures and sketches can all form part of the record. Distance alone does not define the method; blind tasking and a record before feedback matter.

IN PRACTICE

What does practice involve?

01

An unknown target

A person or system selects a target without revealing its identity to the viewer.

02

A session record

The viewer records descriptions and sketches before learning what the target was.

03

Feedback and comparison

The session is considered alongside the target, with attention to both specific correspondences and mismatches.
